What topics are covered in Bootcamp?
Locate & Decode Coding Guidelines
Guidelines are the rulebook of medical coding, and knowing how to find and interpret them is everything. We’ll show you exactly how to read and apply ICD-10-CM and CPT® guidelines so you’re not just guessing.
Using the Code Manuals
Your codebooks are your most important tools, but only if you know how to use them. We’ll walk you through both the ICD-10-CM and CPT® manuals so navigating them becomes second nature.
Modifiers & How to Use Them
Modifiers can seem tricky at first, but once you understand the logic behind them, they make sense. We’ll cover the most common modifiers beginners encounter and when to apply them correctly.
Workshop Day
The final session of the Coding Basics Bootcamp is all practice. Working alongside a live instructor, you’ll put your new skills to the test with real coding drills so you can walk away knowing you’ve actually got this, not just hoping you do.
