What is a Workshop? What will I do?
A medical coding workshop is a 3-4 hour hands-on learning experience that combines instruction with real coding practice. You’ll work through actual coding scenarios with the help of a live instructor. Whether you’re learning a skill for the first time or brushing up before an exam, workshops are our most in-depth class format and include take-home practice materials.
Who can attend a workshop?
Most of our workshops are open to students and professional coders who have learned the basics of medical coding. Please check the description of each workshop above for the recommended skill level.
What are the requirements to attend a workshop?
In general, all workshops require students to attend a Zoom call with a webcam and microphone. You’ll also need a personal Zoom account. It’s highly recommended to join on a laptop or desktop computer for the best experience. Smartphones are not recommended.
You must also have your own copies of the code manuals. Please check the description of each workshop above for the required code manuals.
Do workshops grant CEUs?
Yes, some of our workshop programs offer AAPC continuing education units. Please check the description of each workshop above to see the number of CEU credits provided for each session.
