What topics are covered in Bootcamp?
Medical Cases
Lengthy medical cases and chart notes are difficult to dissect. We teach a focused method you can use on the exam.
E/M Reporting & Service Leveling
Evaluation and Management coding is notoriously tricky, especially when you’re not faced with an office visit. We show you how to handle consultations and service leveling (a.k.a. E/M leveling), two of the most difficult exam topics.
Cardiovascular Procedures
Cardiology coding is complex and difficult for even the most seasoned coders. We’ll walk you through pacemakers, selective catheterizations, and more.
Correct Modifier Usage
Modifiers can make or break a claim. We’ll walk you through the most commonly misused modifiers, like 25, 51, 62, and more so you know exactly when and how to apply them.

What is the CPC® Bootcamp?
Great question! Our CPC® Bootcamp is an intensive exam prep program designed to prepare students just before attempting the Certified Professional Coder® exam. In other words, this bootcamp is designed for intermediate to advanced level students and uncertified coders to brush-up on their skills within about 1 month of their upcoming exam date. Taught by AAPC-approved instructors, Bootcamp covers the top areas that students struggle to reach passing scores in, such as E/M reporting, cardiovascular procedures, and medical cases.
What materials do I need to attend a Bootcamp?
You’ll need to bring your own physical or eBook copies of the ICD-10-CM, CPT®, and HCPCS manuals. Current year books are recommended, prior year books are acceptable. We also require students to join the sessions using a webcam and microphone, to see your beautiful smiles! No additional materials are required or will be supplied.
Who can attend a Bootcamp?
We welcome students who have learned medical coding basics, regardless of where or how they studied medical coding, uncertified coders, and professionals who are returning to the industry.
The CPC® Bootcamp does not teach medical coding basics! If you’re just starting out, please consider enrolling in the CPC® Training Course or check out our beginner Workshops.
Will I earn CEUs for attending a Bootcamp?
At this time, we’re not able to offer CEUs for Bootcamp attendance but we’d be happy to point you toward free and low-cost CEU options! Reach out to our team and we’ll share our favorite resources.
