What is the Coding Basics Bootcamp?
Great question! The Coding Basics Bootcamps are designed for beginners to boost their knowledge of basic medical coding concepts before attempting the CPC® exam. Taught by AAPC-certified instructors, Bootcamps cover the top areas that students most often need help with. In just 4 days, you’ll have the confidence and preparation you need to succeed on the CPC® exam!
Coding Basics Bootcamps are 8 hours over a 4-day period, either Monday-Thursday or every Saturday for 4 weeks. Each 2 hour session includes an open question period that is not mandatory to attend.
What materials do I need to attend a Bootcamp?
You’ll need to bring your own physical or eBook copies of the ICD-10-CM and CPT® (HCPCS optional). Current year books are recommended, prior year books are acceptable. We also require students to join the sessions using a webcam and microphone, to see your beautiful smiles! No additional materials are required or will be supplied.
Who can attend a Bootcamp?
We welcome beginners and coders-in-training who feel they may benefit from a knowledge boost in basic medical coding skills. This program is designed to complement your current training, but not replace it!
Coders-in-training or professional coders already working in the industry may also consider enrolling in a CPC© Bootcamp, which covers advanced topics specific to the CPC© exam.
Will I earn CEUs for attending a Bootcamp?
At this time, we’re not able to offer CEUs but we’re happy to share with our students where they can find free and low cost CEUs.
