Each lesson will explore one or two body systems and contains simple practice assignments. You will learn how to apply medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy and physiology to interpreting a medical chart note, which is a fundamental skillset for all medical coders. All course content is self-paced and pre-recorded; no live sessions will be provided.
This course takes approximately 40 hours to complete. It can be started before or alongside your credential training course and can be accessed for up to 4 months. Enrolled students may contact the assigned instructor via email with any questions.
It is not required to complete the course in order to sit for your credential exam, however it is highly recommended that you complete the course to further your understanding and working knowledge of medical terminology.
