Your training course and credential exam may be the biggest challenge you face in the beginning of your new career journey, but that doesn’t mean the learning stops there! In order to keep your skills sharp, you’ll need to stay up to date on the latest revenue cycle changes, like coding and policy updates, technological advancements, and more. That’s where continuing education comes in.

Continuing education units, or CEUs, are required to be completed on an annual basis in order to maintain your credential. The number of CEUs required is based on the type and number of credentials you hold. Your AAPC member account contains an area where you can easily check your CEU requirements, upload CEUs obtained outside of AAPC, and submit CEUs when they become due.
There are a variety of different types of CEUs, from webinars and workshops to online courses and local chapter events. Courses, activities, or events that qualify to provide you with CEUs will include an AAPC approved badge, along with the number of units you will obtain upon completion. These activities range from free and low cost to several hundred dollars for in-depth training. No matter your budget, you can find CEUs through the AAPC CEU Search portal or by searching online or locally.
A+ Revenue Cycle Training credential training courses offer 40 CEUs upon completion with a grade of at least 70/100. We do not currently offer additional CEU activities, but stay tuned for future opportunities! We recommend the AAPC Free and Low-cost CEU center to our students.
